The Challenge

Mapei’s legacy system had endured heavy custom programming, so it could manage complicated pricing and rebates. Mapei wanted a standard solution that integrated into their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, providing the right level of functionality without major customizations.

With accrued promotions in certain geographies for large retailers and high levels of price breaks, Mapei needed to automate promotional activities. The solution would first be implemented at the headquarters in Italy and then rolled out across all their subsidiaries.
